Running in stores and on social media from 8 to 15 June, Spar has several promotions and activities taking place to encourage everyone to get involved.
Promotions on healthy products include the ‘fab four’ produce lines, where green and red apples, oranges and pears will be available in twin packs for 89p in all Scottish Spar stores.
The group has produced recipe cards with healthy recipes from Parentclub Scotland which will be on display in stores and on Facebook. Also on Facebook, Spar Scotland will run a ‘fruit faces’ competition where people are encouraged to design a funny face using fruits and vegetables with a PS4 as top prize.
Spar Scotland boss Colin McLean said: “As a long term partner, we are very excited to support the SGF Healthy Living Programme by hosting a new activity every day of the campaign either on our social sites or in our Spar stores. As we move carefully out of lockdown, it is really important to eat healthy food, exercise and stay active.”
HLP Director Kathryn Neil added: “Spar is aiming to put the fun back into fitness and health and this will be visible in their stores during health week. The work that HLP are undertaking with Spar shows that even through a difficult period we can still guide and advise consumers to lead a healthy lifestyle through virtual platforms”.
The Healthy Living Week activity will be supported with marketing collateral in Spar stores and via Spar Radio.
