Exciting new partnership launches with free bananas every Wednesday in August

Scottish Grocers Federation’s Healthy Living Programme (HLP), is proud to announce a dynamic new partnership with Snappy Shopper, the leading convenience quick commerce marketplace.

The new innovative collaboration aims to support healthier choices for shoppers and enhance community engagement by enabling local retailers to actively participate in promoting well-being.

The HLP, alongside Snappy Shopper, is set to support Scottish independent retailers offer healthy choices, increase sales and assist in the goal of achieving a healthy nation.

To kick off the partnership, Snappy Shopper and HLP will offer free bananas every Wednesday throughout August. Designed to support families during the summer holidays and ease the transition back to school, the partnership also aims to promote healthy eating habits among children and adults alike.

HLP are fully funded by the Scottish Government and have been working with convenience retailers for 20 years. HLP is renowned for its dedication to promoting healthier lifestyles through various community-based initiatives. By partnering with Snappy Shopper, HLP can leverage the platform's extensive reach to amplify its mission and impact.

By offering free bananas to families, the initiative encourages families to incorporate more fruits into their diets, fostering better eating habits. Snappy Shopper’s platform ensures that healthy eating options are accessible, making it simpler for customers to make nutritious choices. 

Alongside the bananas, Snappy Shopper and HLP will provide educational materials on the benefits of healthy eating and practical tips for maintaining a balanced diet.
